Menu Plan Monday

We're one week away from Thanksgiving and I can hardly stop thinking about what will make our menu this year. I just love Thanksgiving food! And this year we're super excited to be hosting my parents. My mom has already volunteered to make her infamous stuffing but I'll be in charge of the rest. And I'm thinking instead of one holiday dessert we might just have a big smorgasbord of several different things to munch on after we stuff our faces full of turkey, potatoes, stuffing and other yummy sides. I'm drooling already!

As a prelude to Thanksgiving Week, we're keeping meals simple this week and trying as hard as we can to clear out room in our freezer and fridge to make room for our big bird and yummy sides.

Here's what we're eating!

Monday - Baked Chicken with Chopped Salad
  • William's menu: (b'fast) - Pancakes, Apples
  • (lunch) - Veggie/Cheese Quesadilla, Fruit

Tuesday - Chili with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
  • William's menu: (b'fast) - Scrambled Eggs, Toast, Turkey Sausage
  • (lunch) - Peanut Butter and Jelly, Fruit, Steamed Veggies

Wednesday - DIY Deli Subs (OR tuna melts), pickle spears, chips and dip
  • William's menu: (b'fast) - French Toast Sticks {freezer}, fruit
  • (lunch) - Chili (leftover from Tuesday night), Grilled Cheese Rollup

Thursday - Baked Sweet & Sour Chicken with Rice and Steamed Broccoli

Friday - Italian Sausage Tortellini Soup (new) with crusty bread
  • William's menu: (b'fast) - Cereal (Cheerios or Chex) with fruit
  • (lunch) - Leftover Sweet and Sour Chicken with rice

Saturday - my parents arrive! (we'll probably just do something really simple since they are getting in late...maybe some more DIY deli sandwiches or some reheated soup from the week)
  • William's menu: (b'fast) - Veggie Omelette, Fruit, Toast
  • (lunch) - Leftover Italian Sausage Soup with Crackers, Fruit
