Getting Away...

It has been a little quiet around here lately, and that's because last week Nathan and I stole away for a bit to celebrate our anniversary. Our anniversary was actually in June, but the week we were supposed to celebrate was the same week we closed and moved into our house, so things were a bit busy!

We heard about a sweet little B&B outside of Knoxville from one of our readers (Hello, Racquel!), so we booked a trip to stay there for 4 nights. It sits high up on a hill overlooking the French Broad river, and it was so serene and relaxing. We spent some time canoeing the river, hiking, taking a day trip down to Pigeon Forge, and doing lots and lots of relaxing.

Here are some photos from our trip!

Nathan was kind enough to walk around the
Incredible Christmas Place with me in Pigeon Forge.

We played some miniature golf

 And did a little fishing

And lots of canoeing

There's the B&B where we stayed high up on the hill

The last day we went out, the river was so still and the sky was so pretty!

A special thanks to my main man for taking time off work and planning this trip for us to enjoy. This past year has been a whirlwind, but I wouldn't trade being married to Nathan for anything in the world. I'm so thankful for him and the effort he puts into providing for our family and being the husband and father he is.

Taking time for just the two of us takes some extra planning and work now that we have a little one, but it's well worth it! We were very (VERY) blessed that Nathan's parents offered to keep William for us while we were gone, and coming back to him after 5 days was so exciting!
