Menu Plan Monday

MPM-Summer

(Gulp) Is anyone out there??

It will take about 3,698,932 (give or take) blog posts to catch you up to speed to what has been going on around here, so I'll just save you (and me!) the time and try to do this in one quick paragraph:

We're moved into our new house in the country! Everything that could go wrong when you purchase a home did, BUT we survived to tell the tale! We finally have internet hooked up to our desktop, but still no cell phone coverage which explains why I've been MIA on the blog front. AND last but certainly not least, William celebrated his first birthday in our new house and it went off without a hitch (as long as we're not counting a meltdown or two).

In order to get back to some form of normalcy over here, I'm posting a menu plan today and will be back later this week with some updates from the party and of course some updates and photos of the house progress.

In the meantime, here's one of my favorite snapshots that Nathan got of William the day before his big party. Turning one is quite hard, folks.

Here's what we're having this week!

Monday: Grilled Chicken Tacos with Rice

Tuesday: Roasted Potatoes, Zucchini and Squash (Thanks Karen and Kevin!), Barbecue Chicken

Thursday: Leftovers

Friday: Hot Dogs from the Grill, Grilled Veggies

  1. Woohoo on all you've accomplished and especially on the sweet birthday boy! He was precious and couldn't have been any cuter. You've accomplished a lot in a short time.

  2. Awwww... the meltdowns. They are still cute when they freak out. Lucky them. ;)

So happy you got moved in! And congrats on thriving throughout the first year! Who would have thought we'd make it out alive? ;)

  3. 1 already! He's still cute even when unhappy. Can't wait to hear more about your new home!

  4. Poor William. Did he hate the party hat? We got one of D's head long enough to take a picture and then there was no more party hat.

  5. Yea!!! Sounds like it has been quite the adventure for you. Your grilled chicken tacos look really good for a fun summer meal. Can't wait to get caught up on William's Birthday & your new place :)
