Pumpkin Picking

Every year, Nathan and I go and pick out a pumpkin for our front porch. Sometimes we carve it, sometimes we don't. But the tradition of buying our fall pumpkin is something we both look forward to each October!

Of course this year, we made it a family (of three) affair. We put our little guy in overalls and headed down to a local pumpkin patch.

I love the look on William's face in this next one...
you can tell he was totally interested in the pumpkins, can't you??

But this next one is by far my favorite. We put baby boy down in the grass in between some of the pumpkins and he was not as crazy about them as we'd hoped. ;)

There is just something so cute about a baby meltdown.
Remind me of this when he turns two.

After about ten seconds of crying, he did warm up to the idea of the pumpkins...

This particular week, William's fascination was discovering all the interesting things he could do with his tongue. We have about 5,428 photos of him with his tongue out. :)

I'm already looking forward to taking this little squirt to pick out our family Christmas tree!

  1. How cute!! Love the overalls! Love little baby tongues, Zack liked sticking his out too, now he has teeth and likes to grit them more. Ugh! We took Zack to the pumpkin patch on Saturday too, his main interest was eating the hay on the wagon ride, mom's was sneezing. Can't wait for Christmas either, but haven't seen a lot of Christmas tree farms around Jackson . . . maybe next year in Chattanooga. Enjoy these holiday firsts, when they get bigger it's always "oh mom, seriously!". :)

    1. Thanks Missy! But just think - then your kiddos will get to be young adults and remember all those fun times...they'll probably even institute them with THEIR kids one day! :)

  6. Could he be any sweeter? Love the tongue out. And you are looking amazing, momma. There's no way you just had a baby.

We have got to get to the pumpkin patch next weekend. This fall is just getting away from me.
